I enjoy reading, but also had a habit of scanning (speed reading) lessons. As I could retain much of what I read, I usually did well in my classes where reading involved. Sad to say, not so much the math problems that required logic to figure who had how many of what... your recount of the Templar story had me picturing the movie in my minds eye.
